Two dollars and a Pack of Seeds
Times are tough and many Americans find themselves in a position of not being able to afford the most basic necessities. When The Dinner Garden is mailing out seeds to our clients, our cost per Dinner Garden pack is $1.78 cents. This includes 10-12 types of fruit and vegetable seeds in a waterproof pack and a business card directing the recipient to online gardening support and advice. That means for $2, someone can grow a garden that can produce hundreds of pounds of produce.
We have created a fund drive to enable people to donate $2, which will be used to grow one garden for someone now, and a pack of seeds, which will be used to help someone grow a garden in the future. We like to think of it as donating for today and tomorrow. This drive is called $2 and a Pack of Seeds.
